Arla-Milko merger agreed
Arla’s merger with struggling Swedish dairy processor Milko, which will start November 1st 2011, will save Milko from bankruptcy and provide Arla with much needed milk supply. As part of the deal, Arla must sell 5 Milko brands to a third party within 6 months and reduce capacity at Milko’s dairy in Dalarna. The integration process should be completed by December 31st 2012.
