Possible Merger for Bongrain and Berthaut

French cheese makers Fromagers de Thiérache (a Bongrain subsidiary) and Berthaut are looking to merge. The merger would help the two French firms meet the growing demand for regional and specialty cheeses and develop their international markets. Fromagers de Thiérache specialises in Maroilles while Berthaut specializes in the production of AOC Epoisses.
